Ingredients :
Crust :
½ Cup Unsalted Butter, Softened
¾ Cup Granulated Sugar
¾ cup brown sugar, packed (divided)
2 cups all-purpose flour (divided)
½ tsp ground cinnamon (divided)
½ tsp ground nutmeg
½ tsp ground cloves
Peach Mixture :
6-8 peaches, cubed into ½ inch pieces
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
¾ cup brown sugar, packed
½ tsp ground cinnamon
Topping :
¼ cup candied pecans, chopped (optional)
Instructions :
1. Preheat Oven :
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Prepare the Crust :
In a mixing bowl, combine ½ cup softened butter, ¾ cup granulated sugar, ¾ cup brown sugar, 1 cup flour, ½ tsp ground cinnamon, ½ tsp ground nutmeg, and ½ tsp ground cloves.
Spread this mixture evenly onto a baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes
Remove from the oven and transfer the crust mixture to a large bowl.
Add the remaining 1 cup of flour to the mixture, stirring until fully combined.
Spread the mixture back onto the baking sheet and bake for another 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
3. Prepare Peach Mixture :
In a separate bowl, mix the cubed peaches, 2 tsp vanilla extract, ¾ cup brown sugar, and ½ tsp cinnamon.
Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
4. Assemble the Crumble :
Grease a 6x9-inch glass baking dish.
Spread half of the crust mixture evenly across the bottom of the dish.
Sprinkle the chopped candied pecans over the crust layer.
Drain excess liquid from the peaches and place them evenly over the pecans.
Sprinkle ½ cup of brown sugar over the peaches.
5. Bake :
Bake in the oven for 12 minutes.
Remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle the remaining crust mixture over the top.
Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, until golden and crisp.
6. Serve :
Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Serve warm
